Nevertheless, at the end of the aforementioned chapter 73, as he was answering the question number sixty of al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi (133/750”“255/869), Shaykh Muhyiddin mentioned that he once asked his shaykh Abu Imran: Why do you seem to restrain yourself from having many acquaintances? The Shaykh replied: “This is because I am afraid that my statues may not be like that (people think of me), so I will be ashamed with my acquaintances (when we meet during the Judgment Day). Then if I don’t meet many people there it would be easier for me.” [Futuhat: II.81].
