2.4.3.17 - The Issawi Station
It is no wonder that the education of the Greatest Shaykh Muhyiddin Ibn al-Arabi is linked to Shaykh Abu al-Abbas al-Ureybi who was characterized by the Issawi inheritance [Futuhat: III.208]. This means that was on the feet (or: on the heart, see section 2.4.3.20 in this Chapter below) of Jesus, peace be upon him, who was credited with the first returning of the Greatest Shaykh and with taking care of him all the time as we have mentioned in section 2.3.5 above.
However, the Greatest Shaykh shows elsewhere that in his final stations Shaykh al-Ureybi was on the foot of Jesus, but he himself was in that at the beginning and then moved to the Moses’ inheritance (Mousawi, which was the state of Abu Yaaza, the teacher of Shaykh Abu Madyan as we shall see in section 3.2.12 in Chapter III, and we shall speak further about the meaning of inheritance in the following section 2.4.3.19), and then he moved forward to the succession of Hud’s, peace be upon him, before finally being honored with the Mohammedan inheritance:
