2.4.3.16 - Other Charismata

Then Shaykh Muhyiddin tells another Charismata of Shaykh Abu al-Abbas, saying: One day a man rushed upon him, knife in hand, to kill him, at which the Shaykh calmly offered his neck to the man. The Shaykhs companions tried to seize the fellow, but the Shaykh told them to leave him alone to do what he had been urged to do. No sooner had he raised the knife to cut the Shaykh s throat than God caused the knife to twist about in the mans hand so that he took fright and threw the knife to the ground. Then he fell down at the Shaykh’s feet full of remorse.
