2.4.2.2 - His Upbringing and Education of Ibn al-Arabi
We have shown above how Shaykh al-Kumi used to take Ibn al-Arabi with him even before he entered the Way. Then when Shaykh Muhyiddin became one of his seekers, he educated him and he raised him and polished his character, and he was the best educating shaykhs. Shaykh Muhyiddin quotes him saying that if the Shaykh wants he could take the hand of the seeker from the low bottom and threw him into the highest statues in one moment.
Shaykh Muhyiddin adds that he once saw him in his dream and his chest was split with a lamp shining like the Sun, then he called upon Ibn al-Arabi and the later brought two large bowls wherein the Shaykh disgorged and filled them with milk from his chest and asked him to drink!
Shaykh Muhyiddin drank, and then he affirms that most of his knowledge is due to the blessings of Shaykh Yusuf, as well as the blessings of Shaykh Abu Mohammed Al-Morori, whom we will mention at the end of this chapter.
Shaykh Muhyiddin was sincere in his accompany to Shaykh Yusuf, and he says that whenever he wished to see him he often sees him front of him in his home, for any matter that he needed to ask, and then he asks him and get the answer and then he leaves.
