6.5.24 - Meeting with Ibn al-Sha’aar (Aleppo, Wednesday, 6 Rabii I 635/1238)
As we mentioned in section
efentering of Chapter II, in his book "Joman Necklaces", the hagiographer Ibn al-Sha’aar stated clearly that he met with Shaykh Muhyiddin in Aleppo .... ???
This hagiography is considered unique, because the author .... and he also authorized him ....
We also stated in section
efdamascus-political, at the top of this chapter, that frequent wars between the Ayyubids often led to the siege of Damascus, and in 635/1238 the city was severely hit by the wars which undermined security and affected the social status of the people. Therefore, may be that was the reason why Shaykh Muhyiddin left to Aleppo.
