6.5.18 - The Certificate for King al-Mudhaffar Ibn King al-Aadil (Damascus, suddenly Muharram 632/1234)

In addition to the Fihris mentioned in section

effihris above, one of the important treatises that preserved a good part of the list of books written by Shaykh Muhyiddin is his Certificate or Leave that he issued to the "Victorious King" "al-Malik al-Mudhaffar", Shihabuddin Ghazi son of the King al-Aadil al-Ayyubi, in which he mentioned many of his Shaykhs in addition to about 290 of his works, many of which had not been mentioned in the Fihris. The Greatest Shaykh, may Allah be pleased with him, wrote this leave in the beginning of Muharram in 632 AH.

There are several manuscripts of this treatise, with some minor variations, with regard to the number of works, which may be the result of copying. These works are listed in Appendix II at the end of this book.

In Volume III, we shall mention a comprehensive List of Books by the Greatest Master, including those listed in the Certificate and the Fihris.
