One day we were on a journey with him when we came to some bitter salty water, unfit for use. He pronounced the Name of God Most High and then offered us some of the water to drink and we found it sweet and wholesome. I have also witnessed the contraction of the Earth effected by this man’s spiritual power (barakah). Once we saw a high mountain in the far distance, some days journey away, become as near as a single step; so that by our taking a single step it lay behind us at the same distance. He was not present with us at the time.
